Dear HR, All the terms and conditions are already stated in an employee’s appointment letter, why do I need an employee handbook?

Also, employment letter is usually given before joining and is rather confidential whereas a handbook is given after joining and has an elaborate version of guidelines required for all employee from entry to exit.
